Le Cinquieme Jour - More Exploring in the Backyard
Bonjour Mon Mere et Pere:
Things are sort of settling into a routine here. I get a walk each day, play time with the ball, and a heavy dose of nap time in the lazy boy. I am glad Uncle Steve reads so much. Highway 100 has been closed all weekend, so Uncle Steve and I went exploring to see what was going on. They have a big tent over the pedestrian bridge down by our house. We couldn't see what they were doing, but last night the kept us up with a constant pounding with gigantic sledge hammers.
Did I mention how neat their backyard is to explore. My nose may need a major rest when you get back. I have been sniffing every each of their backyard. Their air conditiioner is particularly interesting. I'm not sure why. There are also all kinds of nooks and crannies that I can explore. I was not too happy when I found a thorn bush, but Uncle Steve made sure I was OK.
Have fun, but take care of your feet!!!

Le Quatrieme Jour
Bon Jour Mon Pere et Mere:
We had a nice long night this afternoon. Uncle Steve got home about 1:00 and by 1:30 we were in the Lazy Boy having a nice long nap. We played some in the backyard, but it was too cold to go for much of a walk.
Glad to hear you are having a good time. Do they make stuffed gargoyles? I don't think the monkey will be here by the time you get back!
A tantot!

Le Troisieme Jour - Une Bonne Promenade
Bon Jour Mon Pere et Mon Mere:
We finally got outside again. Uncle Steve and I got to go for a walk around Wolfe Lake. It was still overcast and a little cold, but the rain and wind finally let up to make it bearable to go outside. Uncle Steve says he will get home early tomorrow, so maybe we will go around the lakes. We both like that a lot.
It got pretty chilly last night. I'm glad you warned Uncle Steve that I like to sleep under the covers. When I licked him in the ear at 3:30 a.m. he knew right away that I wanted the covers lifted up so I could get warm. I can't believe how easy it is to train humans!
Sounds like you are having a great time. Are you getting the messages from my other friends? This is kind of neat to have people from all over the world looking at my pictures. Maybe I will become as famous as Lassie or RinTinTin!!!
Bonne nuit!!!

Le Deuxieme Jour - Plus Mauvais Temps
Mom and Dad,
After such a nice April, we are all really ticked that the weather is so stinky. It actually snowed a little bit today. It didn't stick to the ground, but it sure put everybody in a bad mood. We have not been able to go for a walk for two days now. The monkey and the pig took a real beating, but it is just not the same as a walk. Uncle Steve and Aunt Kathy both played ball with me, so not all was lost.
Uncle Steve tried to explain what a gargoyle was. It didn't make much sense, but I'll bark at it anyway.
Get some rest and have fun tomorrow. (Uncle Steve showed his special clock that says tomorrow is already today for you. He must think I am one really smart dog!)
Je vous aime!

Day 1 - Au Revoir, Mon Pere et Mon Mere
Le temp fait tres mal, froid et il pleut.
So much for Uncle Steve teaching me French. He is so smart. He remembered all training that I gave him that last time I stayed with him and Aunt Kathy. He had the treat bag open before you got back to our front door. He feeds me right at 5:00 and then goes to read a book so I can sit in his lap and look out at the back yard. Today he showed me the window in the upstairs bathroom that looks out at the two big dogs next door. You should have seen those two dogs run around trying to find me when I started barking. I guess the old adage about the bigger the dog the dumber the dog is sure true. What fun!!!!
A tantot!!
