What Pissed Off The Cat????

Uncle Steve and I took one look at that cat, and we both thought, "That is one pissed off cat!!!" Is that what they do when they don't catch the zebra they are hunting? It sounds like you are having a great time. The pictures are really cool! Do you have an extremely powerful telephoto lense, or is Dad getting way to close to get those pictures.

Uncle Steve came home early to take me for a walk. For a while I thought I was going to get to drive the Prius, but he booted me over to the passenger side. We went down to Lake Calhoun and I did 4 miles like a little trooper. We started out going south and it was a glorious day. Then when we turned and headed back north, we found out the day was not so glorious. There is some snow coming tomorrow, and the wind is really blowing in from the north. As you can see from the second picture, I was not happy about this state of affairs. Then when we got home, I got a belly bath. I am not sure that the walk is good enough to justify the belly bath. But we both know that if someone asks me if I want to go for a pedestrian expedition, that I will go nuts.

Hi Speckster-

Sounds like you were getting really close to having a nice drive in the Prius with US riding shotgun. Maybe next time you can talk him into it. 4 Mile walks are always well worth the dreaded belly bath as you well know. Plus it's fun to snort and rub yourself against furniture afterwards!

Today we started out the day by finding a Pride of Lions we had seen earlier in the trip. 3 Lionesses and their 9 cubs. "Dad Lion" actually showed up to hang out too. So 12 total. One of the cubs went off and the Mom's all quickly started gathering everyone and taking them off to look for the straggler. Of course Dad just laid in the sand ignoring the commotion. The only thing missing was his remote control and a bowl of chips.

We also saw another Hippo (this one closer) and some Storks. The Hippo was just poking his eyes and ears out of the water. By the way, they have bunnies and squirrels here. You'd have fun chasing them. The squirrels are pretty small too. Bet you could nab a few no problem.

We also got to see a Haena. Bigger and Uglier in real life.

Tonight we got to track along with a Pride of Lions as the hunted, killed and ate an Impala. '64 Cherry. No, the animal.

Details to follow....

Give AK and US a big kiss for being such great vacation rangers!

Love Mom and Dad.
