Quiet Sunday in Minnesota

I do too write my own blog!

I was a quite day here today. Uncle Steve and I took a nap this afternoon in my Lazy Boy. He need a rest after being gone so long yesterday. It got pretty warm here today, with a high in the 80's. Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve had a bunch of errands to run today, so I got to take a warm-up nap before I had my serious nap with Uncle Steve. Tomorrow Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve are going back to work, so I will have to guard the house on my own.

There was one piece of excitement today. When I stood up in my Lazy Boy I could see the basset hounds in their backyard. I tried to talk to them, and tell them what I thought of them, but they were playing with their mom and were completely oblivious to me. I know they could here me because Uncle Steve had to come upstairs to tell that the whole neighborhood did not need to here me talking to the basset hounds. Both he and Aunt Kathy keep saying this word that sounds like "Oh", but with an "N" sound in front of it. Do you know what they are trying to tell me?

A Beautiful Spring Saturday!

I Need Some Lap Time!

Uncle Steve took me for a regular walk around the neighborhood, and then he left for about an hour and a half. That whole time I was thinking, "Thank God he brought me home; Thank God he brought me home!" I helped Aunt Kathy with her school work.

The weather here today was absolutely perfect. It was in the 70's with a gentle breeze. Uncle Steve was telling the neighbor in the alley about all the girls in bikinis at Lake Calhoun, but he didn't tell Aunt Kathy anything about that. Uncle Steve may be smarter than I thought he was.

Your trip sounds really cool. However, why are you visiting places where the burned people at the stake? You guys are safe, aren't you?

Fridays Are Fun (if tiring!)

Guess Who Went On Another Uncle Steve Walk?

This walk wasn't quite like the last one. We just went around Wolfe Park and back. However, both times that Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve came home today I was asleep on the couch. It is not just the walks that are tiring me out. The weather is so nice that everyone has opened up their windows, so I can hear the basset hounds. I keep trying to tell them who the boss is, but they will not listen. So I have to keep telling them. All that barking is wearing me out!

Your trip sounds like a lot of fun Uncle Steve showed Aunt Kathy your blog comment on his new toy. She did not say anything, but I don't think she was that impressed with his toy. She liked your comments though. She also asked Uncle Steve why he was swearing on the blog. Uncle Steve explained that it was me swearing, and not him. I tried to back Uncle Steve up, but I don't think Aunt Kathy believes that I am writing this blog.

Just to let you know I am OK, here is another picture of me write after Uncle Steve took the last one:

Late Night Walk for Speck

Redundancy Department of Redundancy
(I am on a leash in a fenced in back yard!)

Hi Mom and Dad! Uncle Steve and Aunt Kathy are taking real good care of me. When they let me out in the backyard, Uncle Steve takes me out on a leash. I guess there is no chance of me going on an expedition by myself! I also heard Aunt Kathy say something about she didn't want me in her flowers or crawling under the deck, even though I know there are bunnies under there.

Sounds like you are having a real good time. We are having fun here too. Uncle Steve just took me on a short walk over to Wolfe Park and back. It is amazing how many people are out at 9:00 pm in St. Louis Park. Maybe there not all the old fundy duddies I thought they were. The weather is really nice here and supposed to get nicer. It was in the high 60's today; it should be in the 70's on Friday; and it may be in the 80's over the week-end.

Be Careful What You Wish For! You May Get It!

Mount Speckmore

Hey Mom and Dad! Don't you think they should put a statue of me at the north end of Lake Harriet? People would come from all over to see how spectacular I look! Every summer they could have a rally of dog lovers at the foot of my statue. Uncle Steve said he thought it was a good idea!

Uncle Steve did come home early and we did talk a walk. You would think I would learn by now. I got all excited when Uncle Steve asked me if I wanted to go for a walk. We got to 44th street and I expected to turn around and go back. Then we got to France and 44th and I began to remember that Uncle Steve doesn't take normal walks. By the time we got to Xerxes I thought, "OH SHIT!! We are going all the way to Lake Harriet!!!!!" I was starting to get really tired when we got to Linden Hills, but when we got to the lake I perked up. People were smiling at me and telling me how cute I looked. The complements kept up at Lake Calhoun, so I was feeling really perky. The trip home didn't seem so long after all those people told me what a good dog I was. However, I don't think I will notice that Uncle Steve doesn't get home until 6:00 tomorrow. Aunt Kathy is probably going to have trouble waking me up from my nap tomorrow afternoon.

Hope you're having fun.

Tuesdays Are Not Fun!!!

I Bet Something is Going to Hit The Floor!
(But it will not be there long!)

Tuesday are not much fun around here. Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve leave before the sun is up. Aunt Kathy is home to change clothes, and then she is off to Jazzercise. Uncle Steve doesn't get home until 6:00 to 6:30. So it was pretty boring around here today.

When Uncle Steve finally got home, we took a quick walk around the neighborhood before dinner. There is also the front window that I can look out all day. I have heard the basset hounds and golden retrievers barking most of the day. I let them know who is now in charge.

Hope you have a nice trip. Uncle Steve is getting home early tomorrow, so I going to rest up for an Uncle Steve walk.
